This event is an opportunity to explore Milky Way and night sky photography. If you were not able to be a part of Royce Bair's limited "night sky portion" of his workshop, then this would be a great time to use what you learned in the clasroom. If you are new to night sky photography, come join us and learn from others. You will want to come prepared with the proper equipment and supplies. The following are highly reccomended:

Tripod, wide angle lens, a lawnchair or camp stool, bug spray, a head lamp or flashlight preferably with a red filter to cut back on light pollution. Be sure to pack something to hydrate with and snacks if you want. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. We will be on the riverbank for a portion of the event. You may even want to bring boots or waders if you want to get in the water, if the flow isn't a risk.

Additional information will be sent out to the registrants the day before the event.

Also, several of us are finalist in the Obed Wild and Scenic River photo contest that will be held at 5:00pm at the visitor center that night prior to our field event. The location for the Visitor Center is:

208 North Maiden Street Wartburg, TN 37887.

The public is welcome to come and enjoy the event.

If the weather cooperates and we shoot the Milky Way, it will likely be midnight before you head home.  We will have more information for registrants regarding passes for Nemo Bridge parking area after dark before the event.  We plan to park at Nemo Bridge
