Time:  5:00 PM - Plan to arrive at 4:45 for program start at 5:00 PM

Description of Event:  A panel of three SANP photographers experienced with night photography, particularly the Milky Way, will discuss and share information about the use of star trackers.  We will demonstrate the setup for three trackers, talk about the gear and welcome comments and questions from all participants. Topics include the advantages, the challenges, the cost, the benefits, the opportunities and the drawbacks.

Who should come: Anyone who is interested in learning more about long exposure Milky Way photography.  How to take longer exposure times and avoid star trails, and how to get more detail and color from your night images.  If you would like answers about polar alignment, learn various ways to polar align a star tracker, and find out what gear is a must and what is nice to have for night shooting under the stars.

What to bring: Bring a note pad or your phone to take notes and pictures of the setups.  Also bring your comments, questions and suggestions.  This session is not a formal presentation but a show and tell format intended to help you become better acquainted with the components to setup and use a star tracker.
