Time: Plan to arrive at 3:45 PM for program start at 4:00 PM                 

Description of the event: Join photographer Clay Thurston for an engaging and informative program on capturing stunning images of dragonflies and damselflies. Clay will share tips on identifying the most common local species and offer practical guidance on how to photograph them in the wild.


In this session, you'll learn about the camera settings and lenses Clay relies on, along with techniques for making the most of varying light and weather conditions. He’ll also discuss how to locate ideal habitats where dragonflies and damselflies are most active—insights that can help you find great photo opportunities for your own collection or even entries for our salon in November.

         

Who should Come:  Photographers of all levels who want to improve their photography skills.


Format:  This FocusSession will be about 1 1/2 hours with Q&A during the presentation.

What to bring: Notepad if you want to take notes.
