Registration available:  Beginning today


This is an early morning walk to see what birds are out and any other wildlife. We will visit the Admin Trail area. The distance will vary as to how far we walk could be up to five miles round trip.  You will want to wear shoes that you can tred water with as we may have some areas that will have water on the trail due to the recent weather and there may be considerable dew on the grass..  

 

Location Description:  

Cades Cove Loop Road. Remember you will need a parking pass or carpool with someone that has a parking pass.  You can purchase daily passes at Cades Cove Kiosk area. The annual pass at vistor centers or online.


 

Learning opportunities: Bring your wide angle lens and your long lens.  A tripod might be handy for some of the stops.   


What to bring:

  • Your favorite DSLR camera and lens.
  • Bring appropriate weather gear.
  • Shoes that can are water resistant.
  • Tripod can be useful .
  • Rain gear for yourself and a rain cover for your camera in case we have rain.

Remember to dress for the weather and in layers if needed.

Restrooms:  Cades Cove Picnic area and lots of other unisex options.
