October 2001 Meeting
Program
Members were treated to an excellent slide program presented by SANP member Clay Thurston. Clay is an accomplished nature photographer and his work regularly appears in publications throughout the country.
Like most of us, Clay has a list of favorite "spots" that he enjoys photographing. Some of Clay's favorite areas are within the state of Florida and we were treated to many beautiful shots of birds, alligators, sea shells, Manatees and other wildlife that can be found at many of Florida's great parks and wildlife refuge areas.
Clay also included images from his trips to the American West, Alaska, Nova Scotia and Africa. One of his favorite areas is within a few miles of most SANP members - Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We were treated to images that included everything from Bears, White Tailed Deer, Fox, spiders and beautiful landscape shots of the Cove.

A decision was made to put an on-line survey on this website for club members. When the survey is designed you will find a copy in the Members Only section with a link from the "What's New" section of the home page as well. Results of the survey will also be posted.
